Of all buildings Bayreuth owes to the Margravine Wilhelmine, the Margravial Opera House is the most magnificent. No one suspects that behind the rather bland and unassuming façade of the Bayreuth Opera House hides what is considered the most beautifully preserved Baroque theatre in Europe. Actually, UNESCO officially nominated it as a World Heritage Site!
