Haus Wanfried - Richard Wagner Museum
Richard Wagner and his Festivals have made Bayreuth world-famous. In this house, which you are facing right now, the famous composer spent the last years of his life. And Richard Wagner and his wife Cosima are interred in a crypt behind the villa. In 1872, Richard Wagner bought this piece of land at the edge of the Courtyard. The composer himself designed the fundamentals of this house.
